Lead Pastor
David Porath
Pastor David is in his 12th year of full-time ministry, following 4 years as Security Forces in the US Air Force (1994-1998) and 13 years working in the computer and technology industry (1998-2011)
He has known God’s call into ministry his entire life, pursuing it right out of high school. It wasn’t until an Emmaus Walk in 2003 that he heard God call him into a new “career”, and to the church vocationally.
He served as a volunteer in family and discipleship ministry from 2002-2011, working Full time as Youth Minister in 2011. 6 years later became an Associate Pastor.
He has been appointed/ working at Good Shepherd since 2021.
David is married to Tracy with two adult children, Christian and Justine, two dogs, Nelson and Murphy.
David’s vision is simple: “To know Jesus, be like Jesus and make Him known to all people.”
